In this video, we showcased a tiny, fully functional USB-C powerbank that supports charging speeds up to 12W and weighs about the same as an alkaline AA battery. In a following video , the highly integrated TPS25751D chip from TI was used to build a 45W powerbank charging circuit, shown below. Our favourite PD protocol chips for ease-of-use are from TI, Diodes, and Injoinic.
Example design: PD system section of BMS X based on TIDA-050047 reference design
To do
- make highly efficient 240W EPR battery system
- make fully featured USB-C PD powerbanks with newer (and more expensive) technology than competing solutions, using casing materials that are most environmentally friendly based on a detailed analysis
